Dear participants!

Most welcome to this online course in fact-checking and verification for journalists.

The course has three distinct parts:

Apart from the course introduction

(1) in a theoretical part, we will explain information influence activities, what they are, how they can be identified and potentially countered. This part is based on "Countering information influence activities. A handbook for journalists" (Swedish Psychological Defence Agency, 2023) and available online here as well as on the course page,

(2) in a practical part you will be guided through various exercices to explore your skills to navigate the digital information landscape and learn the basics of digital tools for verification.

We hope you enjoy the course,
